Let's talkwine

In addition to writing, Craig Ellis is also an accomplished wine professional. In 2001, he earned his first level Sommelier certificate and in 2009 he achieved the intermediate level with W.S.E.T. (Wine Spirits Education Trust). He has spent many hours in the vineyards of Santa Rita Hills and has participated in many aspects of making wine. However, more importantly, he drinks a lot.

"Water separates the people of the world,
wine unites them all." -- Anonymous

"As a wine lover, I've been forced to learn how to cook. After all, once you know what wine goes with what, you want to have the what as much as possible. As a consequence, I've had to elevate my cooking skills from Kraft Macaroni & Cheese (the easy kind with the can of cheese) to something more refined (not much) level." -- Craig Ellis

Here Craig will share the wines he drinks, his thoughts about them as well as the latest epicurian recipe he so eloquently massacred. You’ll have a chance to comment on his recent kitchen successes as well as his recent failures (and anyone say exploding rice?). In addition you’ll be able to post any question about wine, such as what wine pairs with what. For example, the best wine to drink when you’re eating Kraft Macaroni & Cheese? Why, a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, of course.
